Artist Statement:

This piece was my attempt to  capture the sensation made by the parts of our minds that limit us in life- the way they cling to the back of our thoughts, weigh us down, and, even if we’re  all too familiar with their feeling and effect, still allude us- blending into the nooks and crannies of less harmful ideas. However, it is possible make out their shape if we can muster the resolve to look at them directly and honestly. And we must, because they’re nobody’s responsibility but our own.
